Domestic violence is a criminal offence in the uk and has been for many years, physiological manipulation and coercive control became a criminal offence in 2019 .

When I told the elders that I had been in contact with a domestic abuse agency for men they were shocked and disgusted because I had informed a worldly organisation and told them that I was recommend strongly to leave after the first call.

So any victim should be encouraged by the watchtower and the elders to contact the police and a domestic abuse agency ,but off course they won't do that, prayer and bible study can fix it, you can't bring reproach on jehovah's name and the organisation.

Perpetrators of domestic abuse DO NOT change.

Male and female victims are abused in equal numbers, the issue has been that many men didn't or wouldn't admit that they were victims.

Yes in articles such as these it should read HE /SHE many domestic abuse agency now do this on information posters etc .

Why Did God Create Us?

Why did he create us?

If you believe the bible story god is a narcissistic control freak who introduced a unfair test on Adam and eve, knowing that they would fail ,so he could introduce the concept of sin in which he has used as a weapon to exercise control over the offspring of Adam and eve.

And then he sent his son/ self to give his life as a ransom in order to repay himself and then uses his death and resurrection as a means to again exercise his control over people and holds that over people today, like holding a gun to someone head .

If you fail to agree with him and recognize that you are a sinner and come under his control you will suffer eternal torment.

So If you believe that the bible is true you were created to be controlled by a narcissistic control freak.

False accusations of flirting and affairs, included sister's in the hall that we had known for many years.

That i was not a good husbands, father and never worked hard enough,

Limited contact with my parents and my siblings, even though they were jws

Controlled my mobile phone even stopped me having one for a while and access to my tablet.

What I watched on tv ,

With held affection and the silent treatment sometimes for days.

Alienated me from my kids .

Wouldn't contribute to the household bills

Being critical of almost anything I did and said

Would say hateful things and mask them as a joke.

Men are equally victims of domestic abuse, looking back to when we were courting there were red flags, as the years went by it intensified very slowly then about 6years I escaped with the help of domestic abuse agency for Male victims.

There was no physical violence against me only physiological manipulation and coercive control and had a effect on my physical health and to everyone else she was a nice sister in the hall .so after I left the house the elders were insisting that I returned to the marriage and I was told that a man should never leave his wife and this was repeated many times.

But again the expert help and advice from the domestic abuse agency I never did return to the abusive marriage and went through a horrendous divorce.

So please if something doesn't feel right in your marriage whether Male or female contact a domestic abuse agency avoid the elders at all costs.

Its not a easy thing to leave a abusive relationship but with the help of experts it can be done, when the time is right (took me a few years because of my kids).

If physical violence please contact the authorities asap.

Living my best life now ,free from a abusive marriage and a abusive and controlling religion, they both use the same tactics to control their victims.

it has been discussed on this forum many times how many gospel elements were sourced from the ot and related traditions and recast as typological 'fulfillments'.

the same is true of certain sections from acts.

i recently ran across an interesting section of the talmud that certainly seems a good candidate for the inspiration for pentecost scene in acts 2.. recall that the shavuot or pentecost festival was linked to the exodus story of the reception of the 10 commandments on mt sinai.

if you don't get legally married as long as you have a "spiritual marriage" in his latest video response to the situation of people coming forward complaining about the abusive religious tactics his "wife" practices and he condones.. i ask this question in a previous post but it deserves it's own discussion definitely:why is it that so many cult leaders have weird relationship issues and dysfunctional marriages?.

Because they have a narcissistic personality, anyone who claims that god speaks through them or directs them has a personality disorder. It's all about them and there control over their family and anyone else who falls for their scams.

Until people recognize that religions and domestic abusers use the same tactics to manipulate and control their victims and they need to educate themselves to identify the red flags of physiological manipulation and coercive control.

When Someone escapes from a abusive relationship or religion and the victims failed to do this they will fall into the same trap again, and get involved in another controlling religion and its beliefs or another abusive relationship.

I'm a survivor of both, a abusive and controlling marriage and a abusive and controlling religion.

Please do independent research into physiological manipulation and coercive control and you will see how all religions use these tactics to control people.
